Plain Rice
Ingredients: (for 2 servings)
2 cups of rice
1 tea spoonful of salt
3 cups of water
Method:
1.Wash rice well
2.Add rice & water In a sausepan .Add salt too.
3.Cover with a lid.
3.Bring rice to boil
Tip :If you add a small piece of pandan leave,you will be able to get a great smell.

Fried Rice
Ingredients (for 2 portions)
cooked rice enough for 2 person (better if you use left over rice)
1 carrot grated
Cabbage,Leek cut in to pieces
chopped onions
chopped ginger and garlic
1 tbsn green peas
1 tbsn yellow corn
1 egg
1 Tbsn soy sauce and oyster sauce
Margarine
Method
Heat a wok or a pan and add margarine. When it's hot add the vegetables and stir fry for a while. Then add the chopped garlic and ginger. Now make a well in the middle and drop the egg and scramble it well. Then add the chopped onions. When all fried well add cooked rice and stir it until well mixed. Fry a bit more time. Now add soy sauce and a little oyster sauce and stir well.(Soy sauce is saltish,so adjust salt using soy sauce)

Yellow Rice
Yellow Rice Ingredients (2 servings)
- 2 Cups long grain Rice
- 4 tbs ghee or butter
- 2 medium Onions, finely sliced
- 1Clove
- 1 Cardamom
- 1 tsp ground Turmeric
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 Cup Coconut milk
- Rampe leaf
- 3 cups water
- Wash rice and drain thoroughly.
- Heat butter on a saucepan.
- Add onions and fry until golden brown.
- Add cloves, cardamom, salt, turmeric and rampe.
- Add rice and fry until rice is well coated with butter and turmeric (stir constantly).
- Add water & and allow to boil.
- When rice is cooked Add coconut milk & milk well & keep few minutes in medium heat (cover with a lid)
- When rice is cooked serve hot with curries.
